We are surrounded in this season by the sounds and sights of joy – family gatherings, parties, and laughter. Some of it is real, some is forced, and some is a cover-up for various kinds of pain and disappointment. Many of us are reminded, by the very nature of the Christmas season, of those who are absent from our family circles. Others are burdened by illness, disappointment, stress, or anxiety. Some are acutely aware of the chaos of our world. A Blue Christmas service invites all of us to find light in the darkness, to seek comfort and strength from each other and from God, and to find gentle reminders of the True Hope that is at the heart of this Holy Season.
Come and find solace and comfort in prayers,
lighting candles in the darkness,
Christmas hymns, and community.
Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene kindly invites you to our Blue Christmas candlelight service, to be held on Sunday, December 17th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. ALL are welcome!
